Cotton Jumper DIY

Happy Holidays everyone!
I'm with my family this week in my hometown, Yakima Washington.

I'll be shooting street style when I get back, but in the meantime here's a DIY story I shot for Frolic the other week. Hannah of Hetterson made this sweet cotton jumper which she embellished with pine trees. Such a fun idea, take any clothing item and spend a few minutes to personalize it.

My favorites this week at Cotton's style gallery is Brae and Linda. If you've been following along you'll have noticed a few past Urban Weeds featured, here's Lauren and Jamie. If I've photographed you for Urban Weeds in the past, and your look featured cotton, feel free to enter it. I'd love to see it up there.

Justin on SW Stark Portland Oregon

I like versatile pieces, something I can walk around in the woods and still go to a restaurant.

sweater: Banana Republic
pants: L.L. Bean
boots: L.L. Bean

I really love this whole look, it's warm, comfortable and makes sense for the Northwest. The cotton oxblood colored pants really makes the entire look. Oxblood is deep enough to be used as a neutral but still add the interest of color. You can find a pair in any price range, Alexander McQueen makes a pair, Dickies makes a pair available at Target, and a corduroy pair from L.L. Bean. Best thing about all of them, they're cotton!

Share your best cotton style at Cotton's Road to the Runway. If you haven't checked in recently, be sure to click over. Lot's of great new street style is up each day. I would love to see more looks from the Northwest, but you can upload your style no matter where you live in America.

Calling all stylish men!!!

I've been busy going through Cotton's Style Gallery and am convinced there needs to be more men up there. Northwest men have a fantastic sense of style. When I'm scouting I see raw denim, great boots, perfect plaids, to more dressy like Melvin's style above.
